The Wheel House is located at the backside of an RV park in Montrose, Colorado, United States. The location is close to a creek, quite private, though you can hear some road noise when cars pass over a wooden bridge (but not much traffic during the night).
You are going to be close to other campers, less than 100 feet away. However, they will be respectful of each other.
The house is perfect if you want to look for a separate and unique stay compared to a hotel—a perfect stop for a couple of nights during a road trip through Colorado.
The entire place was very clean, cozy, and welcoming—a perfect spot to do all kinds of adventures and activities.
The house was nicely decorated, and everything seemed clean and new. You will have different facilities ready for you: furniture, cabinets, and appliances were top-notch, and kitchen utensils (dishes, pots and pans, extra towels, etc.).
The house is very high-end finishes, extremely comfortable for two people, right on the creek!
You will love spending the evenings on the couch with the fireplace going inside the living room!
Inside the house, you will find one bedroom with a double bed and sleeper sofa in the Living Area. The bed was a comfortable memory-foam type mattress for a queen bedroom. Also, the sofa bed is nice for a day sleeping bed.
Because of the close-location to the creek, you will hear the stream voice. That’s a perfect natural background for sleep. There was quite a lot of space even though it’s a tiny house.
Inside you will have a full bathroom with a hot water shower, washer, and dryer combo.
Amazing place to stay if you want to tour Black Canyon, National Park. The wheelhouse offers enough space for a family of four and has all the amenities you want for a short or longer stay.
Outside, you will have a porch overlooking Cedar Creek. A perfect spot to sit on the deck and enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
The rushing water is very peaceful and unreal at night!
