The Blue Bird – Shipping Container by Hillside Retreats, LLC

Check out this 20ft by 8ft tiny house shipping container. The shipping container sits on a 40ft by 20ft deck, which includes a 20ft by 12 ft cover area that has outdoor love seats, hot tub, fire pit and gas grill. If you are feeling adventurous you also can walk up the stairs case to hang out on top of the shipping container that has a sitting bistro area on that 20ft by 8ft deck. The inside of the shipping container includes, bathroom, shower and sink combo room.

There is no separated room for sleeping instead one sofa bed is provided alongside the kitchenette. The pull out sofa bed is tiny but comfortable with extra linens and pillows to use and it can easily convert into a couch for more seating. There is also a TV and an electric fireplace mounted on the wall that has LED back lighting that you can change the interior of the shipping container to your mood.

A full bathroom with all amenities is provided in this space. All the essentials such as shower gel, shampoo, hot water, plenty of towels, and hair dryer are all available to make sure you do not need to pack much stuff for your getaway. The room is tiny but still fits for two.

The indoor space in The Blue Bird is relatively small and narrow that makes the bedroom share the same space as the kitchenette. Nevertheless, the tiny kitchenette still comes with big amenities, that includes a kcup machine in which your favorite coffee grounds can be added to, a toaster, mini-refrigerator/freezer, microwave, single burner hot plate, pots, pans, plenty of dishes, and cooking basics like oil and spices. There is also a dining table for two that can function as a workspace too.

The main highlights of this house are the large outdoor decks that compensate for the tiny indoor space. The outdoor decks consist of the covered deck and the rooftop deck. The covered deck has a spacious lounge area with plenty of chairs to hang out, an amazing hot tub for soaking after a long day of hiking, and a barbecue grill to toast some s’mores at night. The rooftop deck, meanwhile, is the perfect spot to relax overlooking the trees, catch some sun, practice yoga, and stargaze at night.

Pro tip: bring a telescope if you have one. You also have access to the private game room for guests only which is a great addition. The game room is located in the pole barn that sits in the center of the property. The door to the right will take you in the game room. The game room includes pool tables, shuffleboard table, darts, Kan jam, giant Jenga, yardzee, putter ball and more.

The location of this amazing house is great and an easy drive to the parks, as well as to things in Logan. A lot of hiking trails for your adventurous soul and great local food and wineries that are just a short drive away.
