The Ash Hill Treehouse is a brand new accommodation by Joshua located in Port Leyden. It provides you a unique and different experience you will not find elsewhere. The perfect combination of modern and rustic in this house creates a super-romantic getaway for you and your partner. Moreover, you can bring your pets here at no additional fee.
Nestled in a natural Adirondack highrise, the treehouse is tucked between Ash and Maple trees. It provides one bed and one bathroom, but it is amazingly comfy and cozy. You will have the entire house without worrying about any other distractions as it is far away in nature.
This space does not provide Wi-Fi or any other internet connections, nor will you find TV or Netflix here, but that is its charm as sometimes people want to live peacefully without any disturbance from the ‘outside’ world. If you are looking for an off-grid but stylish getaway, then this space will be a perfect choice for you.
The bedroom is tiny but has a cozy feel. There is only 1 bed with extra pillows and blankets. The bedsheets are spotless and clean. It is lit by several electric storm lights, which add rustic ambiance to the entire room, and electric candles that shine perfectly bright. A bedside table is also provided to store your stuff.
The house is equipped with a fully modern bathroom, in contrast with the house’s whole feel. It is super clean, and the essentials are well provided. There are lights in the showerhead that can change colors and many guests find this super fun to see.
You need to be aware that the pipe might be frozen in winter, but the host is accommodating and still within reach, so he will fix your problem anytime you need.
Love seats and a fully functioning modern kitchen are available in this space. There are cooking wares that allow the guests to cook their own food. They even put Keurig and frother in the kitchen. Cooking basics and drinks such as coffee and cocoa are also provided.
There is neither TV nor Wi-Fi, so a little pro tip: bring some games for entertainment just in case you get bored. There is also no air conditioner here, but instead, you will get the ceiling fan. It helps get rid of the heat away. The propane fireplace is inside the house, though, so you do not need to worry about the cold weather if you come here during chillier months.
The guests are welcomed with an amazing custom walkway to get to the treehouse – a 100-foot winding bridge – lit by string fairy lights. This space is away from the residence and the roadway, but the guests can explore the 15-acre property and nature around or go hiking.
There are several hiking spots nearby: you can go to Pixley Falls, near Boonville, or Moss Lake and Bald Mountain in Old Forge, which is only 20 minutes away. Those two are recommended sites near the accommodation.
In Port Leyden, New York, United States, the Ash Hill Treehouse is such a digital detox you will not often find it regularly. It is a great stay for you who want to unplug from the world as you will be away from the TV and the Internet. You will feel closer to nature, and it will bring peace back to yourself and put the stress from the chaotic world away.
