Placed on top of the hill in downtown Tahoe City this tiny house has everything you need for a fun and comfortable Tahoe adventure. This tiny house offers an entry room and sunny kitchen/living space with a garden window and skylight. Equipped with a queen bed and fold-down couch there is plenty of room to relax after a big day in Tahoe. During the summer enjoy meals or relaxing outside on your private deck with a shade garden while during the winter you can cross country ski right behind the house.
The small bedroom has a new queen memory foam mattress to provide a relaxing stay. This space has a small futon-style couch that folds out into a bed for an extra person. It is a bit firm and best for short people 5’5 and under. A 3” gel foam topper has been provided to create a better sleeping arrangement.
A camping cot is also provided if the fold-out sofa is too small. The heater in the bedroom pumps out a lot of heat, but that heat, unfortunately, does not make it into the kitchen area very well. The bedroom also does not have a door to close it off from the kitchen, so people in the bedroom do not get much privacy if you have a third person.
A full bathroom is available inside the house and it comes with a small standup shower stall. There are also extra shelves for your toiletries. Hot water, shampoo, cleaning products, and hair dryer are already provided.
This small space offers an entryway large enough for most of your toys and an updated stackable laundry center as well as iron board when you want to look your best. The space itself is very comfortable and clean with everything you need to cook, relax, and get a good night’s rest.
The kitchen offers a small 4 burner stove, microwave, toaster and an updated fridge for your culinary creations. Gallery kitchen has the morning sunshine falling through its garden window where you can enjoy your morning coffee and toasted bagels at a cafe table.
The window in the kitchen/ living room and skylights gives the little place beautiful natural lighting. Do note that this small house gets really hot during the day so the place is not ideal for remote work as the wall and ceiling in the common area are glass.
There is a small deck outside the cabin overlooking the landscape which is just perfect for butterfly sanctuary. This house is also well-situated close by Squaw and Alpine, a mere 15-20 minutes drive away. Being 5 minutes from a SaveMart, Safeway, CVS and Chevron/Shell means it is super convenient. Just two blocks down hill will take you to the main highway and plenty of restaurants and Tahoe beaches, walk on the trails behind the property and you will enjoy so quickly being in the forest.
Things to consider that 4-wheel drive and winter driving experience may be necessary between December-March. Having a 4-wheel drive or chains may be required to reach the adventure hub. The space is located on top of the hill which makes the view from the driveway that much better.
During large storms you will need to dig out your vehicle and/or pathway at a minimum. Homeowners many run snow removal equipment during quiet hours, especially during huge storms and are generally gracious in clearing snow from the driveway. However, snow removal is not guaranteed upon arrival or during your stay, but shovels are provided.
