A treehouse by the lake sounds inviting and serene, and this place has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Hosted by Jonathan, the Spring Lake Ranch is located in Potosi, Missouri, United States. This is a one of a kind luxury treehouse that sits 20′ in the air, just a stone throw from the beautiful Sayersbrook lake.
The treehouse is actually a part of a campsite, so when you visit during busy weeks, you might be surrounded by tents from other campers. But worry not because the guests in the treehouse will still have privacy and comfort in the area.
The bedroom is on the loft, and there are stairs to reach there. The stairs are more like ladders, and the steps are steep, so it may not be suitable for people who have mobility problems. The king-sized bed is big, comfortable, and clean, but you might need to bring your own pillows, as the ones provided are a mix of soft and memory foam.
There is also a large skylight, making it more romantic than just a place to lay down and sleep. You will be able to see the stars above you and the beautiful nature and lake in front of you from your bed.
A full-size bathroom is provided and has all the amenities you need during your stay. There is also a hot tub available for relaxing out after a full day outside overlooking the lake. Guests are suggested to bring extra swim towels and multiple pairs of swimsuits to enjoy this icing on the cake facility.
On the house’s main level, there are a small living room and a kitchenette equipped with a spacious mini-fridge where you can store all the supplies for 3 days, a toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and basic condiments.
There is no oven and stoves available, but instead, they provide an electric cooktop. The countertops are made of granite, and it is spotless.
Lots of windows enrich the house, but you do not need to worry about privacy since there are blackout shades.TV and DVD players are available, but with a minimum movie collection, so you might need to bring your own movies or board games for entertainment in case you want just to stay all day indoors.
The treehouse consists of the main floor, loft, and a big private porch. Stairs are provided to reach the house, so it might not be suitable for children under 12 or anyone with mobility problems. On the ground, there is a big fire pit and a charcoal grill for cooking.
A picnic table and a hammock are also available; however, you need to bring extra chairs to chill. The little docks over the lake is a perfect spot to hang out on. Goats and bison are to be seen on a walking path. There is even a lodge nearby. Please do bear in mind that you need to bring bug sprays during your stay here.
There are lots of activities you can try while you are in this accommodation. From horse riding, Jakkuji, exploring the hiking trails nearby, kayaking while enjoying the beautiful lake view, walking down the road to antique stores in town, trying cute yummy cafes, to visiting local wineries like The Edge Cliff Winery, which is just 5 minutes away.
Spring Lake Ranch is perfect for you who want to feel peaceful but still near to the town. It reminds one of home and is serene yet not really secluded from the outside world.
