On The Rocks 2 Double Cargo Containers by Dorothy

If you are looking for a spectacular view coupled with a charming, beautiful space, you should try this. On The Rocks is where the beauty of nature and the beauty of the space play off of one another. The sweet cargo home is perched above a sparsely populated valley. It feels like you are looking down on Whoville. Beautifully perched on the edge of LookOut Mountain It is as if the house is hanging over the edge of a bluff.

There are two shipping container homes on this property with this home being a double container home. This home is well suited for two guests but can accommodate up to four guests with the additional folding queen bed in the loft. You will not want to miss the fire pit overlooking the panoramic view and the roof line of this cargo container mimics the passing hang gliders from the nearby flight park.

The main bedroom is on the main level of the house. It is tiny but very cozy with a queen sized bed and two full glass windows which allow you to stargaze at night and to wake up to the sunrise in the morning. Additional fold out memory foam queen bed is provided on the loft and it is surprisingly more spacious up there.

It is still surrounded by the glass so you will never miss the scenery. A ladder is built to access this loft and even though it looks thin it is actually safe and sturdy. Curtains are provided only in the main bedroom. The main bedroom is also open to the living room with no door for an open floor plan.

The house comes with a private bathroom and the shower is just right size wise. It is small but stocked with all the essentials you need for the getaway. Body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hot water, hair dryer, and extra towels are already provided. The host also provides filtered water and the sink is very handy.

Expect for all your stresses to wash away as soon as you enter this beautiful abode. It makes you feel like you are in the clouds as the house is full of glass walls so you can view the absolutely stunning scenery just from the sofa they put thoughtfully by the windows. The high ceiling and glass windows successfully make the space feel more spacious and let you breathe in relief. There is no Wi-Fi or television at this property.

The air conditioning and heating are available. The kitchen allows you to cook some basic meals as it is equipped with a convection microwave for baking and an induction cooktop. There are also utensils, pots and pans, a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, baking sheets, and other awesome additions like a jar full of s’mores ingredients and popcorn. Everything is clean and simply decorated in a cute style.

There are two porches with great lightings located on different sides of the house. The seating area with two chairs is on the one in front of the bedroom window. There is also a fire pit on the ground and a stack of wood on the porch to use.

Furthermore, this unique lodging option for the area is close to hiking, local restaurants and other area attractions. In particular, Cloudland Canyon, with stunning vistas. And Rock City — for those who dig roadside attractions, day-glo, and fairy tales. As you are already on LookOut mountain so the drive to Rock City is short and just 20 minutes around the mountain. In short there are tons of hiking trails with the history of the Chattanooga war. Local restaurants also offer good food for a quick bite and one of those is the delish Thatcher’s BBQ in Trenton.
