Forest Haven – Ela by Beth

Ela is a little oasis tucked away in the woods. It is very stylish and a perfect setup for couples retreats. The entire space is tranquil, beautifully decorated, and so functional. It is a great choice to escape from the typical city life, relax and just simply enjoy the outdoors. This is a 20-foot shipping container home with a large outdoor living area.

There is a queen bed with built-in dresser drawers which are the perfect way to keep your things away but also accessible and help maintain the aesthetic of this awesome little place. The bed is comfy with huge windows to wake up to the sunrise every morning. The blanket is not that fuzzy and you might need to bring extra pillows yourself as this place does not provide more. The pop-up table is also pretty nit-picky yet the end tables are very cool.

There is a pebble floor indoor shower, an outdoor shower and an outdoor bathtub with sizzling hot water that feels like a hot tub. They even provide bath salts to use in the soaking tub and it is really relaxing. It is perfect to chill in the tub even on snowy days, however just make sure you bring your own slippers.

The space is a tiny luxury. Something that makes you think that you are staying in a magazine home or something off of TV. The impeccable craftsmanship and design that is totally pure aesthetic from the combination of wood, steel, and black colour. It is designed with the colors and textures of nature, seamlessly blending with the surroundings, but furnished with luxury linens and all the comforts of home.

The dark and moody finishes really make this house stand out. The huge window view into the woods that makes up an entire wall is a beautiful centerpiece to a stylish interior and it is nothing short of breath taking. There are also plenty of drawers for clothes storage if you decide to unpack. There is also a small fireplace inside with a heater, just make sure to get the smaller wood located by the viewing deck.

The small kitchenette is also provided and equipped with a hot plate, microwave, cooking basics, mini fridge to store your drinks, and coffee maker complete with good coffee provided by the host. The tap water is really clean and safe to drink.

To access this space, all you need to do is just park in Dwell Box. As you continue on down the driveway you will see a staircase with lights heading down into the woods. As you descend the stairway into the woods you will begin to experience the peace of Ela, one of two small shipping containers set into a clearing in the forest.

The outdoor living space has lounging seats, chairs surrounding a natural gas fire pit, outdoor shower and an outdoor soaking tub. The porch is inviting all hours of the day and a perfect resting spot with a book, or drink and snacks at night.

The amazing views from the built deck that look out into the country fields during both sunset and sunrise are something you definitely do not want to miss out. Essentially the deck doubles the size of the house and makes it even more livable.

The location is so close to Amish restaurants, wineries, and shops. There is a market of locally produced foods and goods that is situated right across the street from the entrance of the property. If you want to learn horsemanship you might also need to check out Tenbrooks Farm which is just minutes away from the accommodation.
